                                          Fall is here and at F.U.M.C. are schedule has been very busy!


We are happy to report that our F.U.M.C. Fall Harvest Fundraiser was a great success.  We raised $1,960 which will go to our general fund and help with our expenses.  Thank you to our chairs, Liza & Chris Nehring and their many helpers for hard work during the 2 week period this fundraiser was held.  Also, to all those who supported our efforts buying their mums, pumpkins, corn stalks, etc. from us.

We hope you will continue to support our next fundraiser which is the Holiday Wreaths, Crosses and Centerpieces.  Deadline for your order is Nov. 9th.  Delivery will be between Dec. 4-8.  We will notify you when they arrive.

Please mark your calendars for these important dates:
Nov. 2:  All Saints Sunday
During the 10 am Service we will light a candle to remember those who have entered the eternal kingdom since All Saint's Sunday 2013.
After the service we will dedicate the Columbarium. Thank you to all who purchased a chair for the Columbarium room.

Nov. 9:  Commitment Sunday
Please remember to send in your pledge card or bring it with you to worship on Nov. 9

Nov. 24:  Cluster Thanksgiving Worship Service here at F.U.M.C. @ 7:30 pm.  Choir will rehearse at 7 pm.
Please bring a can of food with you to this service for the Grace UMC, Lindenhurst Food Pantry.

Nov. 30:  Hanging of the Greens and our Annual Soup and Bread Luncheon.

Dec. 6:  Trip to Princeton to attend the Westminister Bell Choir.

Dec. 7:  Youth Cookie Walk.

Dec. 14:  Deadline to submit your Christmas Altar Giving of Poinsettias or Alternative Giving.  Form in this issue.  Requests received after that date will not be in the Christmas booklet, so please send in your request early.  Thank you.

Dec. 14:  Ecumenical Advent Lessons & Carols Service 3 pm at St. Paul's Lutheran Church

Dec. 24:  Christmas Eve special music at 4:45 pm
                Candlelight Service with Communion at
                5 pm.

Dec. 28:  Youth will present the musical "A Baby Born in Bethlehem".
